Employbridge Search Group has a client in Perryton, TX who is looking for an Assistant Superintendent to join their team! This is a DIRECT HIRE position, with competitive salary and benefits. Job Duties * Work with various teams including the Owner, Project Architect, Project Engineers, Project Manager, Subcontractors, and others to deliver a successful project * Assist the Superintendent to lead and manage the on-site construction team and oversee all work on site. * Responsible for orderliness on-site and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. * Ensure quality standards are met and will assist to make sure that all equipment and materials are available on-site. * Assist the Superintendent to liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals, as needed, as well as the coordination of materials and equipment delivery with Subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. * Ensure success by completing projects on time and within budget, and never compromising on quality. * Coordinating and overseeing all work on site, as directed by the Superintendent. * Attending production meetings, as needed * Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget and ensuring adherence to these. * Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met. * Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness. * Assist the Superintendent by implementing management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient. * Observing all activities on site and assisting the Superintendent in maintaining a site log that explains what was accomplished and where the construction team needs to resume the next workday. * Resolving all on-site issues and emergencies. * Communicating with the project team and supporting each Subcontractor to execute his job duties effectively and efficiently. * Setting an example in keeping the job site organized and clean, including meeting standards for waste disposal and environmental protection. * Other duties as assigned Qualifications * High School or equivalent is required * 1+ years' experience as a commercial construction site Assistant Superintendent or something similar * 5+ years' experience as a construction site laborer or comparable, but experience with All trades are a plus * Knowledge of construction budgeting best practices * Understanding of construction equipment, including safe operating practices and signs of maintenance issues * A good understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations * Good problem-solving and decision-making skills * Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel * Proficient with taking and uploading digital photographs * Ability to lift 100 pounds and to operate heavy equipment * Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Outstanding organizational skills * A daily positive attitude and a willingness to work hard and get your hands dirty every day
