We have a great opportunity to join our banquet team as a Banquet Houseman. Responsible for the set-up and breakdown of all banquet functions and meeting rooms. Position may also assist with food running, checking IDs/Tickets at events & mid-event upkeep, and cleaning. Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:• Review all Banquet function sheets and set up each function room according to instructions. • Ensures that all required items are provided according to instructions. • Signs out necessary keys from a key lock box at the beginning of shift and returns keys at the end of shift. • Maintains cleanliness of banquet function spaces. • Continually maintains communication with the guest contact person for needed necessary items including but not limited to; extra chairs, tables, etc. • Informs supervisor of guest complaints/compliments.• Breaks down all equipment at the end of the function. • Return all equipment to the necessary storage location.• Must wear the required uniform. Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. • Performs other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications:• Open Availability, Day or Night Banquets. Compensation: $16 per hour About Company: Located on the coastline of Hilo Bay, the Grand Naniloa Hilo, a DoubleTree by Hilton is 30 mi from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. All rooms have free WiFi. The Naniloa Golf Course, located within the hotel grounds and adjacent to the Grand Naniloa Hotel, offers a free round of golf daily to guests.
