Our client is a prestigious manufacturing business in the heart of West Yorkshire who as part of their continued success seeks a Multi Skilled Operative for their Bonded Wadding and Home Textile division. With full training on all machinery, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that is thriving and is continually looking to develop and improve the skills of the team. This role requires a flexible attitude to work as it covers various positions in the department to assist in holiday and absence cover along with continuous improvement initiatives. A successful candidate must: · Be IT Literate. · Be able to follow written and oral instructions. Key Responsibilities: · Operate machinery and equipment according to specification, including ensuring the correct blend settings on the machines. · Keeping the hoppers running unless you have mechanical or electrical faults. · Perform basic maintenance such as unjamming hoppers as required. · Liaise with the Maintenance/Electrical departments on any breakdowns. · Participate in trouble shooting and problem resolutions, including KPI data collection and feedback. · Ensure each bale of fibre raw material is booked out for usage and traceability on the fibre booking sheets. Working hours and wage: You will be working on a rotating shift pattern Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00 40hrs per week with some overtime opportunities. The hourly rate for this position is £12.46 per hour. We would like to invite applications from Machine Operators and Production Operative with experience of driving a FLT Counterbalance truck could be advantageous.
