Internal applications for positions within a bargaining unit must be received within 7 days of this position being posted to have seniority considered. What you'll be doing: Provide office support to the clinical areas with duties related to clerical, reception, scheduling, timekeeping and clinical records Daily chart filing and maintenance; including setting up upon admission, backfilling in accordance with approved assembly list, reviewing to ensure required signatures are in place, thinning, pick-up and delivery of files to CIM within required timelines, and faxing/mailing documents as necessary upon discharge in accordance with PHIPA guidelines Prepare and complete daily paperwork such as billing sheets, flow sheets, and patient daily census for bed/room changes, patient assignment to physicians, transfers, discharges, admissions, and off service from Trillium Provide back-up support to Centralized Staffing as required, to replace sick calls for RNs, RPNs, and PSWs, and process schedule change requests Greet and assist all visitors and patients on the unit; provide unit orientation to new patients Maintain and monitor staff station: monitor unit door when locked for clinical reasons, answer the phones, relay messages, distribute/re-direct patient and team member mail, and keep the area tidy (including bulletin boards and information centres) Liaise with various departments and programs as necessary to ensure quality patient.
