Description:
Industry-leading food manufacturer in the Pacific Northwest is seeking a Production Manager to join their team in their Seattle, WA area location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process improvement and optimization, with a proven track record of enhancing efficiency and productivity. Food industry experience is highly preferred.Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day production activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and workflows.Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.Lead and motivate production teams to meet production targets and quality standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and resolve production issues.Implement best practices in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.Monitor equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Oversee inventory management to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.Develop and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all employees.Train and develop staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in production processes.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field.Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of production processes and techniques.Demonstrated experience in process improvement and optimization.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Ability to analyze data and implement data-driven decisions.Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Experience with inventory management systems and production planning.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in a manufacturing setting.
