Reporting to the Chief People & Culture Officer, the Director, People & Culture (P&C) plays a critical role in overseeing and implementing programs to enhance the organizations People and Culture functions and foster a positive workplace culture. This role has oversight over human resources, recruitment, training, safety and payroll. Salary Range: $120,000 to $140,000 Key Responsibilities: Assist the CPCO to ensure People and Culture initiatives, programs and processes are aligned with overall corporate strategy, purpose, mission, and core values Lead and mentor the P&C department managers to support their success and career aspirations. Support, coach and mentor the P&C managers within the following key areas: Key metrics to support the impact of P&C in the organisation Payroll and benefits Employee engagement and retention Recruitment and workforce planning Health, safety and prevention initiatives Compensation and total rewards Management and leadership development programs and general training Diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives Oversee compliance updates to payroll, health and safety programs, employee policies and procedures, employment agreements, and other HR forms and documents Participate in collective agreement negotiations and other union meetings Enhance and improve existing employee rewards and recognition programs to reinforce the company core values and the fostering of a positive and inclusive work culture Champion and lead the succession planning and performance management programs within the.
