We are conducting a search for a visionary Director of Nursing with Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) to lead their dynamic Emergency Services or Central Office nursing teams in delivering exceptional healthcare to underserved Alaska Native communities. Job Location: * Anchorage AK. Relocation assistance is available. Anchorage, nestled amidst majestic mountains and vast wilderness, offers an unparalleled backdrop for those who thrive on outdoor adventures.Responsibilities:* Develops strategies to achieve organizational goals, setting objectives and anticipating challenges.* Ensures efficient operations, fiscal responsibility, and stakeholder satisfaction.* Fosters continuous improvement, builds cohesive teams, and promotes staff development.* Encourages open communication and effective information exchange.* Drives innovation, collaborates on strategic initiatives, and ensures project management.* Implements quality assurance measures, collaborates on regional programs.* Provides leadership, sets goals, and conducts performance evaluations.* Manages staffing efficiently within budget constraints.* Maintains a safe work environment, ensures compliance, and equipment maintenance.Knowledge and Skills:* Knowledge of external forces facing the healthcare industry and internal hospital operations.* An understanding of healthcare disparities facing under-served communities and a passion for addressing them.* Strong leadership, communication, relationship-building skills, and capacity to be involved in clinical issues.* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to the challenges of providing healthcare for under-served communities.* Proficiency in functional strategic planning, financial management, and quality improvement methodologies.Minimum Qualifications:* B.S. Nursing or enrolled in the degree program with requisite experience required; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. * Current registered nurse license in the State of Alaska, or application in progress.* Five (5) years of clinical nursing experience, including two (2) years of supervisory experience.* Previous experience in leadership roles within underserved communities preferred.Join Alaska Native Medical Center's team in the heart of Alaska, where every day brings new opportunities for adventure and impact.
