A Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is a clinical laboratory scientist who performs clinical laboratory procedures and examinations pursuant to established and approved protocols of the Department of Health. May have contact with: Laboratory personnel, supervisors, managers Hospital employees, physicians, pathologists Vendors and regulatory or accrediting agenciesPHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Work environment is primarily a laboratory setting.
