Job Title: Lead AWS Software Engineer Job code: 234498 Schedule: Remote Location(s): Charlotte, NC Role Type: W2 ONLY, NO C2C Contract Length: 12 months Job Description/Responsibilities: * Creates, maintains, and enhances applications as part of a product team, leading these efforts.* Researches, evaluates, and implements new technology to optimize application efficiency and usability.* Designs new functionality based on product backlog priorities, coordinating development efforts with durable product teams and cross-functional organizations.* Leverages CICD automation and best practices for delivering quality solutions to end users.* Applies iterative development to continuously deliver value through frequent deployments.* Mentors other application developers in cloud-native development practices.* Ensures adherence to appropriate design, coding, and cybersecurity standards.* Leads design and code walk-throughs, maintaining records of system and programming development and revisions.* Designs and builds highly complex software solutions using agile/XP/TDD methodologies.* Leads the team in programming efficient, well-designed code independently.* Collaborates with designers, developers, and product owners to build cloud-native software targeting various platforms.* Communicates team-wide progress, identifies blocking processes/patterns, and participates in paired programming and code reviews to enhance the team's collective knowledge.* Conducts independent research to refine best practices and presents findings to peers. Job-specific knowledge, skills, or abilities: Technical Skills: * Full stack development expertise* Proficiency in AWS services including DynamoDB, Lambda, and Cloud front* Experience with NoSQL databases* Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban)* Strong Git skills* Knowledge of CICD best practices* Testing strategies using Jasmine and/or Karma* Full-stack regression testing experience Experience and Qualifications: * 7-9 years of software development experience* Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise* Proficient in IDEs and API design/implementation* Expert in cloud-native software engineering best practices* Familiarity with multiple frameworks and ability to build custom frameworks* Experience with automation, optimization, and database management* Understanding of functional programming concepts* Deep experience in turning complex ideas into workable solutions* Previous collaboration in cross-functional teams* Mastery of debugging and problem-solving Soft Skills and Leadership: * Strong communication and leadership skills* Ability to mentor and coach team members* Provide technical guidance to leadership* Drive innovation and sustainability in solutions* Understanding of business drivers and ability to align technical direction with product vision* Recommend and implement best practices for digital transformationPDN-9bcb53d5-cf0f-4a31-b2e9-06d2eac11dc7
