The Role: We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with extensive experience in Java programming and a proven track record within Veterans Affairs (VA) projects. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about leveraging their Java expertise in complex, cloud-based environments to significantly enhance services for veterans. Responsibilities: Develop and implement Java-based applications within VA's project frameworks, ensuring robust, scalable, and efficient solutions. Utilize deep knowledge of cloud environments, including Azure and AWS, to optimize application performance and security. Integrate identity and access management (IAM) solutions to secure applications and data effectively. Collaborate with project teams to design and refine system architectures that align with VA standards and goals. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, guiding them in best practices and advanced Java and cloud technologies. Qualifications: Extensive Java development experience, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns. Direct experience in VA projects, demonstrating a capability to navigate complex project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, and familiarity with IAM protocols and security frameworks. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Experience with Agile methodologies and proficiency in using modern development tools and practices.
