This opportunity is with our Good Shepherd - Senior Support Services How You Will Make an Impact The OTA/PTA will support a health equity approach to client care in the support of client rehabilitation care plans for older adults (55yrs+) living in community settings. The OTA/PTA will work with eligible clients with various health issues that effect their participation in daily activities of living (ADL's) or requiring rehabilitation. This includes assisting clients with interventions outlined in their physiotherapy or occupational therapy plans, supporting them to learn new ways of doing things, regain skills and develop new ones, use materials or equipment that makes life easier, or adapt their environment to work better for them. The role involves collaboration with the Seniors' Support Services intra-disciplinary team to ensure the provision of high-quality care. A calm and professional response is required during high-pressure situations involving frequent interruptions and shifting priorities. You will be responsible for documenting all aspects of care, including medication, treatments, backssments, and client outcomes, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy legislation.
