Transitional Case Manager, Justice and Court Services Justice Services Case Manager - OPSEU, Elgin Full-Time, Contract (up to 7.6 months) Multi-Site Accountability; Elgin County Catchment Area - Application Deadline: August 24, 2023 - We believe in a support-first approach for those who come into contact with our justice system as a result of addiction or mental health concerns. As a Justice Services Case Manager, you’ll work with clients to address the underlying issues that led to contact with the justice system, to provide counselling that builds on their strengths, and helps them make steps towards recovery with an aim to improve their quality of life, reduce harm, and prevent future interactions with the justice system. You’ll also be responsible for attending court and communicating with justice partners regarding progress and to advocate for the best interests of your clients. Successful candidates must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) completed within the last six months. In order to avoid delays in beginning a position, interested applicants who are in need of a PVSC are encouraged to apply for one as soon as possible. WHAT WE'RE OFFERING: What you'll be making - $29.86 per hour with applicable hourly premiums When you'll work - 70 hours over a two week period, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm Your pension plan - Immediately eligible for optional enrolment in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) PSLRTA Notice - This posting characterizes this position as currently unionized under the Elgin Collective Agreement.
