The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, particularly in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation. A science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) is required for consideration. Here's a breakdown of the job description:Job Overview:The Litigation Of Counsel will provide legal expertise and support in complex litigation matters, focusing on product liability and commercial litigation. They will be responsible for delivering high-quality work products, meeting deadlines, and fostering positive relationships with clients and colleagues.Duties:Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.Foster positive work relationships.Comply with all firm policies and practices.Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.Requirements:J.D. degree8+ years of litigation experienceAdmission to the California BarDirect and applicable experience in an AmLaw 100 law firmStrong academic background from nationally recognized schoolsEducation and Certifications:J.D. degreeAdmission to the California BarSkills:8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firmExperience with product liability and/or complex commercial litigationScience background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology)Superior research, analytical, and writing skillsExperience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients is a plus.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a teamAbility to multitask and prioritize effectivelyStrong project management skills and attention to detail This Amlaw firm is best known for allowing its associates to find a balanced work load that best suites them.
