If so, we want YOU to join our team as the YMCA Sr. Director of Communications and Marketing! π€π° As a vital member of our Mission Advancement Team and under the direction of the VP of Development & Communications, and the Chief Mission Advancement Officer, the Sr. Director of Communications will plan and implement all communication and marketing strategies across the Association including external communications, event marketing, membership marketing, website, digital media, social media, and publications. The Sr. Director of Communications will provide leadership to the Marketing/Communications Team πΌπ What You'll Do: Essential Functions: Oversees full spectrum of internal and external communication functions π€π― Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with the LA Y's goals and objectives. ππ‘ Collaborate with Association leadership to ensure messaging consistency and brand integrity across all communication channels. π€π― Provide guidance and support to branches to support marketing needs including membership, programs, and special events. π£β€οΈ In partnership with the VP, develop and lead communication to donors and volunteers. Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets to secure positive coverage of the LA Y's initiatives, events, and accomplishments. Prepare spokespeople for interviews and serve as primary contact for media inquiries. π¬β¨ Provide leadership to Association's online presence, leading social media, website content, and other digital platforms. β¨ Oversee creation of compelling and impactful content for various platforms including press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media updates. Ensure content reflects the LA Y's values and brand and resonates with target audiences.β€οΈ Monitor trends in social media and digital communications to implement innovative strategies. ππ‘ Foster effective communication within the Association ensuring all team members and stakeholders are informed and engaged. π£β€οΈ Develop and implement internal communication plans for major initiatives and organizational changes. Coordinate with outside vendors, contractors, and consultants to achieve goals and objectives. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred. 5+ years of proven experience in a leadership role within communications. Experience in philanthropic messaging and communications preferred. ππΌ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. π¬β¨ Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities. ππ‘ Demonstrated success in media relations and securing positive media coverage.
