Financial Controller Reston, VA Department : Finance & Accounting Reports To : Chief Financial Officer As the Financial Controller, you will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for the accounting operations of the company. Duties / Responsibilities: Establishes and streamline a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize/mitigate risk. Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Manage the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management on a monthly basis. Works with and coordinates activities with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit. Files quarterly and annual tax returns with Federal, State & Local tax agencies. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process. Responsible for the company general ledger. Oversee US payroll including bonus and commission calculations . Supervisory Responsibilities Oversee the operations of the accounting department, which includes accounts payable and accounts receivable individuals. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration Minimum 7+ years of related experience Experience with Government Contracting accounting Excellent management and supervisory skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills High energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude Optional Desired Qualifications Experience with the accounting platforms Unanet and Quickbooks Experience reporting to a Board of Directors Intact Technology’s Talent Vision: All for One, One for All!
