A non-profit community hospital in northern Massachusetts is adding an Emergency Medicine Nocturnist physician due to patient demand. About the opportunity: Join a team of 18 board-certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and 5 Advanced Practice Providers 2 Emergency Medicine Physicians?scheduled 24/7 Significant overlap of shifts? Varying shifts. Shifts are 8 or 9 hours Average?1.5-1.8?patients an hour No shortage of procedures (expected to be able to do all ER procedures) Anesthesia, Pedi Hospitalist, Hospitalist in-house?24/7 Trauma surgery on call?24/7, expected to be at bedside in 30 minutes for critical trauma Other on-call specialties ? Orthopedics, neurosurgery, neurology, ENT, GI, Nephrology, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery Intensivist in house?7a-7p, Hospitalist covers ICU?from 7p-7a?but Intensivist in on call ED does not respond to hospital airways or codes FAST track option that sees ESI 3-5 About the facility: 189 bed non profit hospital with clinical affiliations with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Level 3 Trauma Center Stroke and STEMI center 70,000 annual visits Compensation and benefits: Strong base salary plus quality Bonus CME Reimbursement CME 1 week 4 Weeks Vacation Location/Community: Located 30 miles north of Boston.
