Commercial Construction Superintendent

The Commercial Construction Superintendent will play a key role in overseeing and ensuring the timely completion of construction projects across our portfolio of commercial properties. This position will report to the Director of Capital Projects. Responsibilities: Develop and execute scope of work for commercial capital and tenant improvement projects along with Project Manager and Director of Capital Projects. Assist in the budgeting and quoting of construction projects on existing properties, extensive tenant improvements, and new acquisitions Construction progress monitoring working on multiple projects concurrently Manage ground-up projects, tenant improvement projects Work with local municipalities in permitting, inspections, and code compliance Support project success by ensuring day to day tasks are being completed as scheduled; proactively identify solutions to problems Ensure assigned projects are completed on time and on budget Stay up-to-date on market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in real estate, construction management, or related field AND 5 years of experience, OR 6+ yrs of proven experience in construction field experience Extensive knowledge of design principles, building codes, and construction processes OSHA 10 certification preferred Experience in project management software is a plus, willingness to learn Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Yardi and/or other industry-related software Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Travel for projects as needed, occasional overnight travel may be expected Reliable vehicle Must be authorized to work in the US Overview of Greenleaf: Greenleaf is an owner operator of multi-family and commercial real estate in the Southeast.
