Coton Colors is currently seeking a Purchasing and Planning Analyst for our Corporate Office & Design Center, located in Tallahassee, FL. THIS CANDIDATE IS IDEALLY: Able to collaborate across different departments to meet business goals Have an unwavering belief in data integrity and accuracy Able to be highly organized, precise, and methodical Naturally curious and intuitive, and uses those traits to approach solving problems from all angles Able to learn and engage with new technology JOB OVERVIEW: Inventory & Purchasing Analyst is r esponsible for analyzing and reporting data, identifying trends, and providing insights to optimize purchasing decisions and processes. Analyst will also be responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels, submitting purchase orders, receiving and negotiating vendor pricing and monitoring supplier performance. JOB FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to: Data Analysis Collect, organize, and analyze purchasing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements. Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate different purchasing options, negotiate better prices with suppliers, and optimize spending. Analyzes sales trends and inventory to assist in purchasing and inventory needs. Generating reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate purchasing performance, insights, and recommendations to management Purchasing Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible deals while maintaining quality standards. Execute purchase plans and manage product arrival, and receipt, into inventory. Manage strategy to track and communicate inventory flow of products, from Purchase Order (PO) submission to arrival. Collaborating with other departments, such as finance, operations, and logistics, to ensure alignment between purchasing activities and organizational goals. Inventory Management Analyzing inventory levels, demand forecasts, and lead times to optimize inventory management practices and minimize stockouts or excess inventory. Supply Chain Coordinates the flow of goods and services from suppliers, ensuring efficiency and reliability in the supply chain. Identifying potential risks in the supply chain, such as supply shortages, price fluctuations, or supplier reliability issues, and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks. Assessing supplier performance based on metrics such as delivery times, quality of goods or services, and compliance with contractual agreements. At Coton Colors we celebrate every day.
