Purpose : The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for processing customer payments timely and accurately by recording cash, checks, credit cards, and other forms of payments that are received via lockbox and deposits. This position will require a strong attention to detail and accuracy, and must be able to problem solve and reconcile accounts. Specific duties: Cash application from our lockbox payments we receive including checks, wire transfers, EDI payments, EFTs, cash and credit card payments and other bank deposits. Confirm completeness and accuracy of payment information to the customer's accounts. Must have the ability to problem solve/reconcile accounts. Understanding of debits and credits as they apply to the accounts receivable portion of the business. Ability to follow procedures/guidelines assigned to accounts receivable. Continual contact with customers regarding questions on customers account and receivables history. Must be able to perform the job from start to finish and can follow up on all accounts receivable activity in a timely manner. Accuracy and attention to detail is of the utmost importance. The skills necessary to work well with fellow employees and customers. Prepare daily A/R reports. Large volume of customer contact via phone, email, and mail. Other duties as assigned by management. Required Skills: Strong attention to detail Exceptional organizational and follow up skills Ability to always maintain a professional demeanor, especially when under pressure Strong communication skills both written and oral Strong customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment by: Appropriately prioritizing work load Multitasking and ability to switch tasks Completing high volumes of transactions accurately Exceptional work ethic and reliability with a strong track record Above average computer/data entry and 10 key skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel) and familiarity with Great Plains and CCMS a plus. Job Requirements: High school diploma or its equivalent 2+ years of related work experience preferred All applicants must pass the company paid substance abuse screening.
