π¬ Microbiology Technologist - Richmond, VA π΅ Salary: $29.30 - $43/hr πΈ Shift Differentials: $3/evening, $2.50/weekend π Join our Richmond Team: Seeking a skilled Microbiology Technologist to be part of our new state-of-the-art laboratory at Capital Division Central Laboratory. Join us in delivering exceptional clinical microbiology services in a dynamic environment. Role and Responsibilities: π¬ Conduct specimen processing, microbiology, serology, and infectious disease testing including moderate and high complexity tests. π§ͺ Ensure all laboratory operations comply with departmental policies, and accrediting agency requirements. π Manage and perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. 𧬠Actively participate in quality control and assurance processes to maintain high laboratory standards. π Document all procedures and results accurately and within required timeframes. π€ Serve as a resource to peers and contribute positively to team efforts. Qualifications: π Associate's Degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Chemistry required; Bachelorβs preferred. π National Certification as a Microbiology Technologist required. π State license where required. π Strong knowledge of microbiology, serology, and related testing methodologies. π£ Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. π€ Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
