It will cover a selection of the following topics: Difference equations and applications. Linear differential equations and systems; phase plane analysis; nonlinear systems of differential equations and linearization; Poincaré-Bendixson Theorem. Applications of differential equations to biology, including a logistic population with harvesting; predator-prey model; competing species; epidemic models. Examples of partial differential equations; reaction-diffusion equation; pattern formation. Estimated course enrolmen t: 70 Number of positions : 1 Size of appointment : 60 hrs Sessional dates of appointment: Sept. 1, 2023 - Dec. 31, 2023 Salary : $52.26 per hour + 4% vacation pay Minimum qualifications : Completion of several mathematics courses with high grades. Demonstrated understanding of the course material and beyond. Teaching experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
