Our client, an International Freight Forwarding service provider is looking to take on an experienced Sea Freight Import Clerk for their team in the West Midlands. The role of the Sea Freight Import Clerk is to control all Seafreight import activities on a start to finish basis. You will work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient import operations. You will be arranging deliveries / releases, tracking shipments, and providing clients with regular updates, making sure you resolve any issues or delays that arise. Key duties of the Sea Freight Import Clerk: Ensure all Consignments are loaded onto computer system prior to arrival / departure. Keep customers fully informed of anything which may cause delay to a shipment. Develop constructive relationships with key customers and key supplier. Liaising with customers, dealing with all follow: ups. Quote clients for shipments. Invoicing shipments and collecting payments. To be the successful Sea Freight Import Clerk, you must have start to finish Sea Freight Import experience or have been working as a Seafreight Import Operator / Import Clerk / Import Coordinator, etc. You must have strong knowledge of Imports, and previous experience of Deep: Sea Import Customs clearances. Skills and experience required: Proven experience working in a similar role within the sea freight import industry. Sound knowledge of sea freight import processes, customs regulations, and international trade. Familiarity with freight forwarding software and systems. Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
