Quantity Surveyor Contract Type : Freelance Location : Canterbury Day rate: GBP350 : GBP375 per day depending on experience The Contractor: A reputable Tier 1 Contractor who specialise in commercial, leisure, education, healthcare and MOJ schemes Position: Seeking a Quantity Surveyor that will work across three live projects across Education and commercial sectors Your duties will include ensuring the financial position of the Construction Project is accurately reported and controlled effectively, as well as managing contractual relationships. Manage commercial resources to maximise margin through the placement of subcontractor contracts. Control subcontract packages from enquiry through to final account. Package management and change control. Regularly review with the team contractual risks and implement strategies to mitigate risk. backssment of variations and valuations of subcontractor accounts. Authorise placement of contracts, materials and plant orders. Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement, negotiation, invoicing and payment of the supply chain. Requirements Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor working for a Main Contractor Project experience in Commercial, Retail or Industrial HNC / HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Civil Engineering is desirable but not a necessity Highly Organised Good negotiation skills Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
