Junior Buyer – Award Winning Food Business – Surrey - £30K + Benefits Role: Junior Buyer Location: Surrey Salary: £30K + Benefits My client is an award-winning food business with an outstanding reputation. They are currently seeking a Junior Buyer to join their team. The Junior Buyer will be responsible for maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing suppliers while seeking opportunities with new suppliers to enhance the business position across multiple buying categories. This is the perfect role for highly driven and ambitious Junior Buyers who want to join a well-respected business who can offer exceptional training, exposure and career progression opportunities. Responsibilities include: Manage supplier contracts to ensure the timely delivery of products to meet business needs. Develop and maintain relationships with all existing and new suppliers. Hold expert knowledge of products and services offered. Work closely with Operations team to facilitate shipment of contracts. Manage stock levels and maintain sufficient stock cover at all times. Assist with the tender submissions. The Ideal Junior Buyer Candidate: Ideally be degree qualified with a passion for the food industry. Good knowledge of basic food and FMCG industries. Ability to speak French or Spanish would be a bonus but not essential. Confident with a positive attitude. Have a hands-on approach with strong negotiation and admin skills. Good communication and organisation skills.
