CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator : 39 Hour Working Week : Based in Diss, Norfolk : DAY SHIFT Hales Group are happy to be working with their client based in Diss, Norfolk, who are a leading company in their industry. You will be responsible for programming and operating a selection of CNC Turning Centres and Lathes to produce brass, steel and nylon products. The plant machines consists of a combination of Index, Nakamura, Doosan, Takisawa, Star, Miyano and Citizen CNC machines. Salary GBP15.00 : GBP17.00 Per hour Hours Monday to Thursday 07.30 : 16.15 and Friday 07.30 : 13.30 Key Responsibilities: To program, set and where necessary operate a range of CNC turning centres, and CNC sliding head lathes to produce parts in primarily brass, 316 and 303 stainless steel, and some nylon. Programme machines such as Fanuc controlled systems; other systems such as Siemens and Citizen Windows based controls, are also used on site. The setting and programming of machines, adhering to Company procedures; ensuring the efficient use of resources. To organise all necessary pre: setting activities; using all personnel and equipment made available to you effectively. Provision of a quality set up, adopting a right first time on time approach; ensuring the required level of quality and efficiency throughout the production run. Take a responsible attitude to health, safety and the environment in relation to your own role, and that of your colleagues. Report any related issues to your supervisor, or EHS representative. Other Responsibilities and Duties: Create / load program, set machine and present a first off for inspection. Report any production related issues to your supervisor, or line manager. Carry out first off, in process and last off inspection of components to drawing. Maintain the efficient operation of the machine by monitoring cutting oil and lubrication levels, and keeping the machine free from excessive swarf build up. Report any.
