Position Summary The Installation Foreman will be responsible for effectively managing the installation of large material handling machines at various locations throughout the US and Canada. The candidate must be able to maintain a safe working environment, effectively identify and correct barriers to installation, and work with cross functional teams. This role is responsible for supervision, training, development, and performance management of direct employees, as well as contract employees, as required. Due to the fact that the position will require extended travel, no relocation is required for this position. Specific areas of responsibility include oversight of installation process, costs, management of overall assets, scheduling, planning, work flow, discipline and personnel training, and maintaining safety practices. This position typically works long hours. Overtime and expenses paid. Essential Responsibilities - Manage/oversee the safe, day to day operations of the site - Communicate directly with client and other crews on site - Ensure the site has the proper amount of materials and tools throughout the project - Provide construction progress updates to management - Train and develop team members - Identify and implement optimal work flow solutions in order to meet company deadlines - Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications - Must be willing to travel and stay at remote job sites - Must be able to work extended shifts - Supervisory and employee training experience is strongly preferred - Experience with installation of warehouse equipment helpful - Strong leadership and communication skills - Comfortable operating forklifts, scissor jacks, hand and power tools, etc. Physical/Work Environments - Worker will be working in a warehouse environment - Worker must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently - Able to maneuver a job site, including small spaces in and around our equipment - Squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching.
