Site Engineer, Port of Dover Location: Port of Dover Day rate: Between GBP300 and GBP350 (Negotiable depending on experience) Start date: ASAP Duration: 2 weeks Are you a Site Engineer, looking for work in the Dover area? I am looking for an experienced Site Engineer, to start work with a well known contractor, Resurfacing of large expansive car park with a focus of heavy civils and tarmaccing Responsabilites: Managing of all site labour and sub contractors Liaising with the Client team and consultants Reporting to the Site Manager or Project Manager Planning, scheduling and delivering the project effectively whilst keeping to a tight schedule. Overseeing Health and safety and RAMS Requirements: CSCS card Start 30th of August Project details: Works to be set out, managed and controlled include: Marking out chainages and work extents to the existing surface Working out and marking down block ups for relaying both binder and wearing courses Setting out and controlling a total of 14 Nr cores to the binder course undertaken by a specialist subcontractor Monitoring and controlling a suite of tests to comply with the Manual for Construction of Highway Works (MCHW) Monitoring and controlling the application of wearing course cementitious binder Completing QA/Inspection and test paperwork appropriate to the above activities Experience in the use of Leica GPS and robotic total station instruments (we have both on site) with all setting out and as builts recorded to the Port of Dover unique survey grid The set up on site: Contracts Manager Project Manager Site Agent Grad Engineer Site Engineer (Replacing this person) Job Spec / person spec: We have a requirement for a senior/experienced Site Engineer very familiar with road re: surfacing and road construction works from 31 August (to allow for a 2 day handover) to cover a period of annual leave.
