The role: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Manager of Mechanical Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in the detailed design of our systems. You will work in multi-disciplinary teams while being trained and mentored by senior leaders. To excel in this role, you must be highly organized, pay great attention to detail, and be a creative problem solver. Mechanical Engineers at Saltworks make a positive contribution by: Interpreting process designs and delivering code-compliant mechanical designs. This includes understanding code requirements, mechanical design integrity, and the ability to develop 3D models and 2D drawings using Solidworks. Contributing to the maintenance and development of our CAD database (Solidworks PDM). Participating in creative design sessions with a team of multi-disciplinary engineers to ensure the design meets requirements, while considering risks and opportunities. Interfacing with the Production team to ensure accurate build documentation for all designs. Generating drawings and engineering documentation. You will be a great fit if you have: A relevant engineering degree (Mechanical, Integrated, etc. ). 3 – 8 years of relevant post-graduation work experience. Strong working knowledge of Solidworks, including routing, large assemblies, weldments, drawings, and PDM systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
