Position Overview The Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) reports to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the WRHA and will be appointed in consultation with the WRHA Executive team. The ACMO shall assist the CMO as appropriate in carrying out the CMO’s operational and strategic mandate. The ACMO provides support to and extension of leadership of the WRHA CMO in areas related to core operations such as patient flow (eg. access block), human resource management and capacity management. The ACMO will work closely with regional site administration, site medical leadership and the Medical Staff of the WRHA to create a harmonious and effective, patient-focused, health-care system. The ACMO is a member of the regional leadership team and will be actively involved in the development of regional planning including strategies, financial and talent management , etc. Experience Demonstrated leadership and management skills inclusive of coaching/mentoring and performance management skills, in a health services delivery organization. Demonstrated leadership in the areas of core operations like patient flow and capacity management. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) A medical practitioner, qualified to practice Medicine in the Province of Manitoba and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons.
