Key Responsibilities: Lead the commercial management of assigned housing projects, ensuring accurate cost forecasting, budget control, and financial reporting. Collaborate with project teams, including project managers, site managers, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project delivery. Manage procurement activities, including subcontractor selection, negotiation of contracts, and monitoring subcontractor performance. Conduct comprehensive cost analysis, value engineering, and cost management to optimise project profitability. Provide expert advice on contractual matters, variations, and claims to ensure compliance with project contracts. Monitor and evaluate project progress against financial and commercial targets, recommending corrective actions when necessary. Lead the preparation and submission of accurate and timely cost reports, ensuring transparent communication with stakeholders. Mentor and guide junior members of the quantity surveying team, fostering their professional growth and development. Collaborate with the estimating team to provide accurate cost estimates for new project tenders. Cultivate strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and industry partners. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance measures. Qualifications and Experience: Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a proven track record in residential construction. Sound knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost management, and procurement strategies. Proficiency in contract administration and familiarity with various forms of construction contracts. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
