Job Purpose The Electrical Engineer working on lab equipment which supports testing will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment used in various testing procedures. They will work closely with a team of engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure that testing is conducted accurately and efficiently. Job Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical systems and equipment used in testing procedures, including but not limited to power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other lab instruments. Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to determine testing requirements and objectives and develop electrical specifications for lab equipment. Conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to ensure that lab equipment meets safety and performance standards. Troubleshoot and repair lab equipment and systems as needed. Write reports and document testing procedures and results related to lab equipment. Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accurate and reliable performance. Keep up to date with new technologies, tools, and methods in electrical engineering and testing related to lab equipment. Provide technical support and guidance to technicians and other team members related to lab equipment. Ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures. 70 to 80 percent of the work will be conducted in the laboratory (hands-on), 20 to 30 percent of the work will be conducted on desktop environment. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field At least 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering and testing related to lab equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including Auto CAD, MATLAB, and Lab VIEW, as well as lab-specific software.
