The client is seeking a proactive, dynamic, commercially: minded and experienced planning consultant to lead the delivery of planning services from our Cambridge/Peterborough office. The successful applicant, will be expected to lead and manage client projects as well as supporting and assisting colleagues in all aspects of planning. Duties will include: Researching planning policies and constraints Preparing detailed planning policy and design statements Site visits and land appraisals Preparation and submission of planning application forms and associated documents Attending client and council meetings Identifying and delivering marketing opportunities for planning within the area Advice to existing and potential clients Preparation of fee proposals To be successful in this position, the following skills and characteristics would be required: Experience in the production and management of small to large scale planning applications within a Local Authority or consultancy environment Full member of the RTPI with post qualification experience Understanding of commercial implications of planning proposals A can do attitude, be of strong character, confident and a good networker Flexible and adaptable to client needs Ability to work under pressure and often to tight deadlines Full UK driving licence Interested?
