Medical Receptionist – Full Time Heathgate Medical Practice Poringland (NR14 7JT) We are pleased to be able to offer a permanent full-time post at our Practice. The successful candidate will be joining our front-line team, which plays an essential part in providing great care to our patients. Applicants for the post would benefit from previous knowledge of the healthcare arena but this is not essential. What is key, is experience of working in a customer service (patient service) setting. Other core competencies include communication skills, teamwork, IT knowledge, accuracy and a logical approach to problem solving. We will be looking for evidence of these competencies in applications and at interview. As part of the NHS Five Year Forward Plan, signposting is a vital part of the receptionist’s role in suggesting the various routes for healthcare needs. We will provide training in this area. The reception team were a credit to the NHS during the Coronavirus Pandemic making sure we remained accessible to patients in a safe and secure way. Some of the changes we made in terms of accessing healthcare remain and our front-line team are vital in sharing the whole range of options to patients that approach us for support and advice. A job description is available, or I am happy to talk to potential applicants about the role. This full-time role is 37.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday). Job share will be considered.
