Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their established team on a full-time, permanent basis. We are currently working with a niche engineering/manufacturing business based in Staplehurst. Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their established team on a full time, permanent basis. The Health & Safety Manager will support and develop the H&S function in line with business objectives and be responsible for all areas of the organisation’s H&S, including all safety initiatives and improvements, risk backssment creation & review, training of staff on H&S critical matters, ensuring H&S policies and procedures are adhered to and regularly updated. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: • Professional qualifications - NEBOSH diploma or equivalent as a minimum• At least 3 years H&S professional experience within a transferable manufacturing/engineering environment• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to successfully drive behavioural change• Strong leadership skills to guide, support and motivate staff• A solid understanding of the key principals of H&S legislation• Proficient IT skills with strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines• Organised administrator Desirable Skills: • Experience of working in an ISO9001 accredited Engineering company• Experience of working within ISO18001/45001 H&S management system• Chartered professional status or willing to work towards chartership• Line management experience This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business that can offer ongoing career progression and development.
