Job Title: Building Surveyor Location: West London Pay rate: GBP25: GBP30 p/h Are you a skilled and experienced Building Surveyor with a passion for overseeing diverse construction projects? Do you thrive in a dynamic work environment where you can independently manage projects of varying scales? Role Overview: Working for a local authority, you will be responsible for overseeing a range of projects from inception to completion. These projects will span in value from GBP20,000 to GBP150,000, covering a diverse array of building types and construction requirements. The ideal candidate will have the capability to manage projects independently, demonstrating strong organisational and leadership skills. Key Responsibilities: Independently manage and oversee construction projects from initial backssment through to completion. Conduct thorough site inspections and backssments, identifying potential issues and providing recommendations. Prepare detailed project documentation, including feasibility studies, cost estimates, and project schedules. Collaborate with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met. Provide expert advice on building regulations, compliance, and best practices in construction and design. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to all relevant parties. Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience managing construction projects In: depth knowledge of CDM regulations Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders. This is a long term contract likely to last 12+ months.
