Key responsibilities: • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications• Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems using asphalt, saturated felts and gravel• Install insulation systems and vapor barriers • Install, repair or replace shingles, shakes and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings• Install, repair or replace single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions• Install sheet metal flashings• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms• Construct and fix roofs using hand tools and other equipment such as hammers, electric staplers and electric spraying tools• Ensure roofs are stable and waterproof • Clean rooftops by removing leaves, ice and other debris• Follow safety rules and regulations Requirements: • At least 1 year of experience to less than 2 years • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required • Trade Certification.
