As a growth minded company, we are looking for qualified, knowledgeable, and dedicated field staff to join our team. Drywall Installer (NOC: 7284) to fill 10 F/T vacancies in the Oakville and surrounding area(2770 Brighton Rd Oakville, ON L6H 5T4). The position of “Drywall Installer” is a skilled role, in which the Drywall Installer provides the overall on-site administrative and technical management for a project, while ensuring the total constructive efforts are in accordance with the plans and specifications. $36.00 - $39.50 per hour. Benefits include: •Permanent full time at 30-40 hours a week. Overtime after 44 hours a week and on weekends, paid at time and a half; •Benefits as per union agreement•Remuneration of 10% for vacation time Responsibilities include: • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings• using hand and power tools• Prepare wall and ceiling layouts• Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outlets• Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation• Install exterior and interior steel studs•Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath, • Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring• Utilize laser alignment system• Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied• Instruct apprentices•Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages•Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications•Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms Skills & Knowledge•3-5 years Previous experience in a drywall installation•Dependability•Excellent written communication•Judgement•Client.
