The Quality Assurance Associate role is to assist the Quality Assurance Manager and to help provide quality oversight of all stages of the manufacturing process; providing guidance to production personnel to address quality issues and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The role includes interfacing with all employees in functional areas such as: Management, Lead Hands, Customer Service Associates, and Production Staff. As well, you will be interfacing with inspection agencies, customers, suppliers, and sales representatives. AS A QUALITY ASSURANCE ASSOCIATE, YOU WILL Assist the Quality Assurance Manager. Review and approve incoming documentation from suppliers to ensure accurate receipt and suitability for use. Review and approve inspection and test planning documents for shop operations. Record control of approved suppliers and personnel qualifications. Prepare and review quality documentation to be submitted to the customer. Maintain quality procedures and quality manuals. Assist with performing supplier audits (with opportunity to obtain lead auditor / nuclear lead auditor qualifications through our qualification procedure and training). Responsible for traveling within Canada and US conducting internal and supplier audits and completing yearly supplier backssments. Assist in analyzing, tracking, and trending data and determining appropriate actions to improve trending (nonconformances, corrective and preventative actions) Be responsible for quality oversight of all stages of the manufacturing process; providing guidance to production personnel to address quality issues and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following written standards and procedures and complying with applicable regulatory requirements. Other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
