Position: Embedded Software Engineer 1062 Suitable for: C++ Software Engineer, Software Engineer with C and/or C++ experience Location: Remote (Nottingham once every 6:8 weeks) Salary: GBP 45k : GBP 55k Please note that unfortunately, our client is unable to offer sponsorship Our client is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer with C and/or C++ experience with at least 5 years' experience of embedded software development experience in a relevant wireless or other high: tech industry. You will have a proven background in delivering code for Real Time embedded systems together with Embedded C and C++ 11/14 skills. The Embedded Software Engineer should be able to demonstrate experience of full life cycle software development and have a can: do attitude who can work with minimum supervision and deliver a high level of quality within an Agile development environment. The Embedded Software Engineer will be joining the established R and D team delivering exciting new products. Essential Experience / Attributes Required: -Min 5 years' experience in as an Embedded Software Engineer or C++ Software Engineer-Embedded C or C++ 11/14 -RTOS experience (e. g. Thread X, Azure RTOS, Free RTOS)-Bare metal development experience-Development of low: level software drivers-Test and debug of H/W-Must be comfortable working with peripherals such as SPI, I2C, I2S and UARTs at a driver level. -The ideal candidate would have a good understanding of BLE but any exposure to Bluetooth, Zigbee, Matter or Thread would be considered Desirable: -Audio or signal processing experience would be an advantage-Familiar with ARM M: Cortex or similar processors. -STM32 experience would be an advantage-Experience of setting up embedded web servers -Knowledge of wireless radio interfaces/stacks (Bluetooth etc) -TCP/IP Protocols-Principles of Audio electronics / systems-Audio protocols e. g.
