We are seeking an experienced professional to join us as our next Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Job Duties• Develop and monitor short and long-term strategic financial objectives• Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement financial and other business objectives• Advise on short and long-term business growth and financial planning• Create policies to optimize business operations in collaboration with other senior executives• Participate in pivotal decision-making processes as a senior executive• Authorize and oversee the establishment of new departments or teams and the associated senior staff positions• Appoint and delegate necessary authority to managers and other senior members of the financial team• Approve the overall human resources planning and oversee the selection processes for the finance, accounting and payroll staff• Oversee cash management, ensure funds availability and prepare periodic budgeting reports• Analyze financial data and provide accurate and timely reports on financial results and recommendations• Implement appropriate internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit best practices and all relevant federal and provincial laws and regulations• Represent the company, personally or through a delegate, in negotiations or other official functions• Develop and maintain good working relationships with banks, auditors and other financial institutions Requirements• High school or relevant experience; A bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce or another related field is an asset but not a condition of employment• Over three years of experience in an advanced financial management.
