Senior Quantity Surveyor (Outside IR35)

We are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a freelance basis for a Civil Engineering Contractor based in the Glasgow area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil engineering and will be well: versed in the NEC contract. You should be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. You should also have excellent communication skills, as you will be liaising with a variety of stakeholders throughout the project. Key responsibilities of the role include: Preparing and managing budgets and cost plans Conducting cost analysis and reporting on the financial status of projects Providing advice on contractual matters, including the interpretation of the NEC contract Managing change control procedures and backssing the impact of change on project costs Preparing and submitting interim and final valuations Negotiating and agreeing on final accounts with contractors and sub: contractors To be considered for this role, you should have: A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline Extensive experience in civil engineering, including highways and infrastructure projects Experience working with the NEC contract Strong commercial acumen and a thorough understanding of cost management principles Excellent communication and negotiation skills The ability to work independently and as part of a team Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
