Housing Manager Mercury House, Belmont, Durham and in the communities with our customers Permanent, Full time (37.5 hours per week), typically 9:00am – 17:00pm Monday – Friday Starting salary £28,000 per annum and great benefits including Health Cash Plan Home, a place where you belong This is a great job opportunity for a Housing Manager to join Home Group. As our Housing Manager in the Teesside, Durham & Sunderland Region you’ll work within our Durham Team. This is the perfect job for you if you like variety and delivering excellent services to our customers and communities. Typical day as a Housing Manager Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, you’ll really get to get to know our communities. You’ll look after a designated geographical patch within Durham ably supported by your Housing Colleagues. You will be proactively managing anti-social behaviour in our estates, responding to customer queries and complaints. You will carry out estate inspections, engaging and meeting with contractors on site, as well as carrying out and recording the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities. You’ll manage arrears cases working from low level cases to then potentially attending court hearings for rent, and at time compliance. You’ll form close relationships with both external agencies and internal departments. Fancy going home each day knowing that you have helped change our customers lives for the better? About You Have worked in housing before and understand housing management, housing law and in an ideal world, universal credit too!
