Position: Machinist Employer: Torax Drilling Technologies Job details Location: 101-xyz X 39th Street, Leduc, AB T9E 8M7Salary: 29.00 hourly / 40 hours per Week Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Day, Overtime Start date: Starts as soon as possible Benefits: Health benefits Vacancies: 1 vacancy Overview Languages: English Education: Other trades certificate or diploma Experience: Experience an asset Work setting: Oil and gas industry Responsibilities: Tasks: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, Repair machine tools and parts, Set up and adjust production machineries/tools, Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments, Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports, Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e. g. micrometers, calipers), Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces, Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instrumentinteractionperience and specialization Measuring tools: Micrometers, Callipers, Calibre, Gauges, Verniers Equipment and machinery experience: 3D pantographs, Drill presses, Duplicators, Electrical discharge machine (EDM), Filing machines, Form cutting machines, Tool grinders, Computer-aided design (CAD)Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods, Attention to detail, Overtime required Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots Personal suitability: Accurate, Flexibility, Initiative, Team player Benefits: Health benefits, Dental plan, Disability benefits, Health care plan Employment groups: This employer promotes equal employment opportunities for all.
