Job Description Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for being the main maintenance contact and supervising a team of General Maintenance Technicians. Reporting on and performing maintenance activities. Troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment failures, supervising, and instructing repairs on failed equipment. Understand and direct mechanical, electric and electronic controls troubleshooting and repairs. To this end, one must possess a solid background in repair disciplines and preventative life safety maintenance activities. Job Responsibilities • Safety First: Educates on and supervises the correct completion of all safety engagement activities and correct usage of PPE. • Must be self-directed and capable of operating without direct supervision. • Responsible for the maintenance team's well-being, training, development, and leadership. • Responsible for the execution of work and follow-up for quality assurance. • Job quality, duration, and cost of completed work. • Manage job interruptions and minimize overruns. • Make daily assignments for the team; adjust for emergency work to maintain schedule and KPIs. • Balance motivation and discipline by interfacing with the team regularly. • Scheduling and coordinating on-call shifts and ensuring all on-call duties are performed within the guidelines of the KPIs. • Give adequate time and attention to each team member's formal job training and development. • Fosters motivation and engagement of technicians by encouraging participation in proactive problem-solving and defect elimination. • Acts upon requests for support and provides prompt, fair handling of grievances. Effective listening and advocacy to technician’s needs. • Control of tardiness, absenteeism, and vacations. • The Maintenance Supervisor must be able to read and understand OEM and non-OEM documentation, schematics, drawings, and manuals. • This individual must be capable of using catalogues,.
