Position Overview Working under the direction of the Edmonton Plant Engineer, the Project Engineer is responsible for providing engineering and project management services to primarily Mechanical/Chemical projects designed to support the continued safe operation of the Edmonton Chemical Plant. The incumbent will be responsible for developing projects from the point of scoping, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closure. The incumbent is jointly responsible with the Maintenance and Operations groups for the successful completion and implementation of capital projects. Job Responsibilities Environmental, Health and Safety Demonstrate leadership and contribute positively to the facility safety culture through active, positive participation in EHS safety programs and initiatives. Technical Ability/Problem Solving Be responsible for the planning, organizing, cost control and implementation of approved projects. These projects will include purchasing new mechanical equipment, replacing mechanical equipment already in use at site, modifications or additions to existing equipment and implementing changes through CF’s Management of Change (MOC) system. Will be expected to provide technical support to the Maintenance and Operations groups during the field installation of assigned projects. Installations will occur.
