Our client, a national building contractor, is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work on a range of exciting projects in value of up to GBP20m. You will be site based, working closely with a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. They have a secured pipeline of work along the South coast into 2024/25 for the right candidate and this is a great opportunity to progress your career and to prepare yourself for a Quantity Surveying position. You day to day duties include: Be able to assist in the preparation and submission of monthly valuations. Assist with Cost Value Report (CVR) utilising the Estimators tender summary. Assist in updating the CVR monthly and communicate figures to the Managing Surveyor. Advise internally on cash flow forecasts as necessary. Work closely, whilst shadowing, to agree contract programmes with the Project Manager and Managing Surveyor and monitor progress commercially. Assist and resolve any client: related issues or disputes. Review sub: contractor and Major Suppliers Commercial performance on completion of contracts, giving feedback where appropriate.
