Job Title: Care Assistant Responsible for: Adult Services Duration: 12 weeks minimum, opportunity to be extended Hours per week: Rota is a mixture of earlies, nights, sleep-ins and weekends Location: Upper Floor Montfield, Burgh Road, Lerwick, ZE1 0LA Pay per hour: £15 Job Title: Care Assistant Responsible for: Adult Services Duration: 12 weeks minimum with opportunity to be extended Hours per week: Rota can be a mixture of earlies, nights, sleep-ins and weekends Location: Upper Floor Montfield, Burgh Road, Lerwick, ZE1 0LAPay per hour: £15Purpose of the role: We are currently hiring for care assistants and support worker staff to aid adults with learning disabilities and/or autism within the Social Care sector to provide support to a range of services including ; Supported accommodation, Short Stay & Respite, Vocational Activities/Day Care and Assertive Community Transition. These would include individuals that can display behaviours which are challenging so a sense of commitment and resilience are key factors needed in the role as it would require you to be available for a varied rota of shifts consisting of earlies, sleep-ins, nights and weekends. The location of the role would be Shetland Islands, Lerwick but would require someone ideally that has access to a driving license and their own car due to the nature of the role being that you would be travelling from service user to service user whether that be in residential homes or homecare within their own residence. Due to you having to be on the Shetland Islands within this role you would be expected to be able to commit on a 12 weeks basis and stay at a self catering accommodation supplied by the client. Staff would have use of a private bedroom but share the other facilities in the property but this is free of charge. After 12 weeks you would be assigned a supervisor and supervisor would be supplied to you along with any further training you may need to help support yourself. Ideally staff.
