The Palace Long Term Care is currently looking to add on a caring, passionate, and enthusiastic Activity Aide to our amazing home family, who can serve our lovely residents, to keep them safe, healthy, and happy. On a daily basis, our Activity Aide will enhance the effective management and quality of recreation practice in keeping with the standards and expectations set out by governing bodies and internal policies and standards of care. To lead with passion, compassion and drive is to be a great success in this role. The Palace Long Term Care home is situated in a beautiful small-town Alexandria, which is between Canada’s capital city Ottawa and the most happening city Montreal. This place will give you an opportunity to live country life surrounded by farms, waterfalls, lakes and most importantly peaceful locality. As an Activity Aide, you will be accountable for… Understanding and promoting the Residents Bill of Rights; Assisting the Director in developing programs and schedules, including providing creative input and ideas for programs and volunteer recruitment; Completing timely, individualized and up to date resident backssments and resident profiles at admission; Demonstrating cultural sensitivity in communicating with residents, planning individualized programs and grouping residents of similar backgrounds and interests. This role is an exceptional opportunity for an energetic, enthusiastic team member with Post-secondary diploma or Degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology or other related field from a community college or university;.
