This care company offers a comprehensive range of specialist support services for people with complex needs and specialist conditions As the Maintenance Officer your key responsibilities include: To inspect and evaluate contract services, coordinate with managers, instructors, and others to provide equipment and materials needed within the care home environment, source and purchase good quality supplies and materials whilst being cost effective You will be working in an environment, which supports service users with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and associated complex health needs Support the managers of these services by ensuring a safe environment for the service users, scheduling repairs and maintenance so there are minimal disruption the service users Respond to emergency repair situations immediately considering health and safety requirements and solutions for repairs or replacements Perform skilled duties in the operations, maintenance, and repair of buildings and grounds areas The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: Ideally have knowledge of maintaining and repairing electrical and plumbing systems Be comfortable to assist with painting and decorating, plumbing and carpentry work, maintaining electrical equipment and fire alarm testing as required Able to perform preventive maintenance on equipment and building facility systems Undertake regular checks for leaks within the water and for proper operation of boiler, water heater, furnace and refrigeration Report any potential hazards to the Registered Manager Maintain gardens in line with health and safety regulations Knowledge of.
