We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and oversee the commercial aspects for a GBP25m healthcare project near Eastbourne. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to drive business success and to further develop your skills. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimising the financial and commercial aspects. You will be responsible for enhancing profitability, fostering strong client relationships and implementing strategies that align with the business goals and client expectations. Day to day duties: Maximise cash flow through timely preparation of valuations, submission of invoices and receipt of payment. Maintain a high level understanding of planning and programming to ensure accurate progress reporting. Have a full understanding of NEC contracts and project delivery. Ensuring that all materials and suppliers are procured in an efficient manner. Advise when required on cost management, or value management. Maintaining quality control procedures. Health and Safety management. Undertaking all tasks in a timely fashion and as required by management. Significant experience in the construction industry. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, contractors and clients. Requirements for the role: Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills with a track record of successful outcomes. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain best practices. Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and lead a team effectively. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. For this role, they are ideally looking for someone.
